“As a survivor, I was uncertain of the effectiveness of an empowerment program addressing human trafficking. As I read the curriculum, I was impressed with the flow of the topic and content. Upon reading the curriculum, observing a session, and participating in the program training, I have three reasons as to why I am confident in the success of this program. First, it allows youth to develop their own ideas and responses to various topics that shape youth’s acceptance on gender and social expectations. Second, it goes beyond the surface of the issues to really connect with participants. Finally, it raises up aspects to youth that survivors often learn when leaving the life. My admiration of this program comes from the ability to bring elements of recovery and use it as a preventive measure to address issues that lead to trafficking and exploitation of youth. “”
“Working with Bryan and Stefania was a delight. They really understand the needs of youth and those providing services. The curriculum is relevant and easily adapted. I loved that we were encouraged to make it our own based on what we knew about the youth we served.”
“I have known Stefania both personally and professionally for over 30 years. Her journey has been a unique venture into self-discovery, self-acceptance and triumph over adversity. She is a dynamic presenter whose intimate understanding and sensitivity regarding youth in care make her an extraordinary resource for all who are trying to help our youth negotiate the many challenges in their lives.”
“I AM Training and Consulting group provided consultation and training regarding Sexually Exploited Youth to hundreds of our staff in Children and Family Services. Their expertise on this important topic is evident. The training’s are dynamic, engaging and thoughtful all while providing identification and intervention strategies that are both practical and feasible. ”
“I AM is an essential program that fills the gap in prevention services to provide 1:1 guidance for clinicians to have necessary conversations with youth to prevent exploitation. We are so thankful for the clinical toolkit.”
